This week, Students in 3B have been actively engaging in estimating the mass of everyday objects using informal units, such as pantry items against 1kg of sugar and prunes. This hands-on approach encourages students to develop foundational measurement skills by transitioning from informal to formal units of measurement. Through these activities, students enhance their understanding of mass by making predictions, conducting measurements, and comparing results, thereby building a solid foundation for future learning involving metric units like grams and kilograms.
