END OF TERM WRAP UP
As the term draws to a close, it is great to be able to reflect on the opportunities provided for our students.
- Leading the way as ACE (attending, confident and engaged) students, who have accepted and embraced the learning opportunities available. The hard work and application of your children, will be reflected in their Semester One reports being emailed home today. A reminder that a ‘C’ result, means that your child is working at the year level standard.
- Our increased and free of charge technology devices, are supporting students with their learning engagement opportunities. It is amazing how quickly the students pick up new skills (and also teach their teachers).
- Many excursions and sporting events have occurred, and our Year 5 and 6 have been at camp this week.
- A large range of lunch time activities, suitable for all age groups including clubs, cultural, sporting and adventure play.
We extend our sincere thanks to the staff of Wondall who make these opportunities available to our students.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES
As we approach mid-year, we know that some student stationery supplies may be running low. Please check with your child if they need any further basic supplies or keep an eye out for a replacement list provided by your child’s class teacher.
Also, please ensure your child has a named hat, jumper, lunchbox and drink bottle. Check out our lost property before the school holidays, if any of these items are missing.
YEAR 5 AND 6 CAMP INFORMATION
Our students have been having a ball. The Year 5s return today and Year 6s left first thing this morning. We would like to thank all the students and staff for attending this year’s camp and hope all of the students enjoyed themselves. Below are some photos captured. Keep an eye on Facebook for more updates.

Positive Behaviour For Learning
PBL- Being safe and respectful when online or using devices
Our PBL focus the last fortnight has been on managing emotions and the students have been amazing. However, in the upper school we have had to remind several students about using IT and Mobile phones appropriately. We have a GATE to GATE policy. No phones when you enter the gates. This means students are not permitted to call, text, takes photos or videos of anyone while in our school grounds. This is to keep your child/ren safe. Please talk to your child about this rule and ensure they are following it to avoid school consequences.
Please consult our student code of conduct for more information or the Qld Government’s policy.

CONSENT FOR EXCURSIONS AND INCURSIONS
Since the beginning of this year, we have been using QParents to gain parental consent for most excursion and incursion activities for students in Prep to Year 6.
The process for gathering consent and payment for activities is to send out the consent form via QParents, allowing parents one week to complete the online form. Regular reminders are sent to parents with QParents who haven’t completed the consent until the due date. Using this consent, we then generate invoices for activities.
To ensure this continues as a streamlined process, from Semester 2, students who have not been granted consent by the due date will not be invoiced for an activity and may therefore be unable to participate in that activity.
When a consent form is added to QParents, an email is automatically generated to alert QParent account holders that there is a consent form to complete. This email comes from the address no_reply@oneschool.eq.edu.au. Parents may need to update this address as a safe address in their email application to avoid emails from QParents going to junk or spam folders.
The QParents app can be downloaded for free from your preferred app platform, and will also give notification alerts when a new consent form is available.
Excursion | Consent Due | Payment Due | Cost |
Year 3 & 4 Mangrove & Environment | 16th July | 7th August | $39:00 |
Reminder:
Consent must be given before an invoice is issued for payment. Payment plans are available, please contact Business Manager. Ph: 39066444 for any questions.
