We encourage everyone to have regular, meaningful conversations with those around them, to build trust and normalise talking about what is really going on, so when the people in your lives find themselves struggling, they know that you are someone who they can talk to.

Positive Behaviour for Learning
PBL- Wondall learners are safe when they manage their emotions.
Here at Wondall we have a strong focus on managing and identifying our emotions. This is a difficult skill to do, even for adults! We need to teach our students to articulate what they are feeling and name their emotions.
The next fortnight will focus on building this skill. Stay tuned for an update.
New Dougie Shop
Has you child been coming home and talking about the new levels of Dougie stamps? Have they earnt their 50 Dougie Voucher yet? Are they close to getting silver? We have changed our PBL reward system this semsester to make rewards timely and achievable for your child when they receive them. We are building and adding to our vouchers. We asked our students to tell us what rewards they want for each level. Below is a sample of what we have on offer so far!
Ask your child how many Dougie’s they are currently sitting on! Below is the key to each level.
Book Week
Last week was an exciting week in the Library with the annual Book Week display of this year’s shortlisted books from Children’s Book Council of Australia. Students came along dressed as their favourite character on Monday and paraded for their peers and parents. Students visited the Library during break times and made book marks. Local author Jess Galatola visited our Year 1 students on Thursday to share her book ‘Some Families Change’ and play some games. Thanks for visiting, Jess!

We will be endeavouring to introduce an online booking system for parent/carer swimming helpers. Please note parent/carer volunteers will be required for the duration of the session.
