FULL RETURN TO SCHOOL
Thank you to our school community over the last week of weather incidents. As you were aware, our school received damage to I & J Blocks- resulting in impacts collectively to 16 teaching spaces. Thanks to the prompt and incredibly hard work of our school leadership team, grounds and cleaning teams and Q Build contractors, we were able to have everyone back in their normal classes on Monday and all internal repairs completed.
We know that some families were directly impacted like our staff, with flooding, power outages and other presenting concerns from the weather. Please reach out to school if you require specific support during this time.
There are also a range of grants available. You can find out about these by following the link:
P&C EXECUTIVE
On behalf of our school community, we thank our P&C committee for their contributions in 2024. 2024 was a significantly successful year for our P&C which has seen the school community supported with different events, fundraisers and donations to our school. On Tuesday 18 March, the Annual General Meeting was held, and we thanked the outgoing executive, whilst electing positions for 2025. Of note, we recognise Marty Watchorn who has very successfully led the P&C for the last 3 years and Matt Rowan, who has held an executive position over the last 11 years!
I am pleased to announce the 2025 elected members:
Executive Committee
President: Phil Carr
Vice President: Sam Aitchison
Secretary: Alisha Olszewski
Treasurer: Wendy Willis
We are pleased to advise that Thomson Ruiz have been appointed as Project Managers to oversee our Outdoor Learning Classroom project which has been the focus of P&C fundraising in recent years. The intended works are scheduled to commence in the June/July holidays, with completion in September/October. We look forward to this project getting underway and thank everyone who has made this possible!

HARMONY WEEK
Harmony Week is the celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds. This year Harmony Week is celebrated 17-23 March 2025.
It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
We invite our school community to wear their cultural dress or an ORANGE shirt or accessory on Friday 21 March.
Why orange? Orange is the colour chosen to represent Harmony Week. Traditionally, orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations. It also relates to the freedom of ideas and encouragement of mutual respect. Australians can choose to wear something orange during Harmony Week to show their support for cultural diversity and an inclusive Australia.
LEARNING CELEBRATION
Parents and family are invited to visit their children’s classrooms on Wednesday 26 March between 2:30pm-3pm. Each class will have something different to share, but students will be highlighting their learning from this term!
