NEWS FROM 2A
In 2A, students have been learning about sustainability of our water resources by viewing the Wynnum Creek catchment through Rodney Rainbow, a fictional character based on the native Crimson Spotted Rainbowfish. 2A investigated the importance of water to all living things and the environment. We looked at Wynnum Creek, observing and conducting experiments on water, plant and animal life. Students made predictions, took measurements and samples, collected and classified living things, and located human impacts on the catchment. As they investigated Wynnum Creek, 2A students developed an understanding of how water flows through a catchment.
Throughout the day, 2A students participated in hands-on experiential learning, allowing them to implement science in the world around them.
