2026 BOOKLISTS

Please find the links to the 2026 Booklists, below. You are welcome to take the list to your preferred provider. Many providers will shop and package the booklist for you.

2026 Booklists are STARTER BOOKLISTS only. If additional items are required throughout the school year due to loss or consumption, your child’s class teacher will provide you with a replacement list.

Please note:

  • In providing school-wide accessibility to iPads and laptops, at no cost to parents, we are using programs that assist students with their accessibility to learning. One of the features we are using is the speech to text and recording facilities of the devices. For optimised potential, we are asking families to provide the child/ren with a decent set of wired headphones with a boom microphone and conventional 5 mm jack. Please see the picture provided on the booklist for an example of what is required.
  • To accommodate for handwriting and synthetic phonics, you may notice an increase in whiteboard markers, as students increasingly use their whiteboards for these learning activities.
  • We have added extra books to accommodate for specialist lessons.
  • Prior to the end of the 2025 school year, your child will bring home a Stationery Inventory Form to give you an indication of the condition of retainable items and excess materials that can be used in 2026.
  • Brands listed are an example, for your reference. The school accepts alternative similar brands.
  • Please ensure exercise books have the correct ruling and are suited for the year level required.
  • ALL ITEMS are to be labelled and brought to school on the first day of the 2026 school year.

    STOP, DROP AND GO REMINDERS

Parents, just a reminder that at Wondall we expect all students who use Stop, Drop and Go particularly of an afternoon to be:

*Sitting quietly in the shed near the front gate

*Listening for their name to be called over the speaker

    *Using respectful voices

*Being safe with their hands and feet.

    2026 STUDENT LEADERSHIP APPLICATIONS

Applications for 2026 Student Leadership positions closed. Mrs Cocciolone was blown away by the high level of applicants and their responses to the selection criteria. From here, over the next 2 weeks we will be shortlisting the applicants and starting with our School Captains then moving into the other Captain areas. All applicants who submitted a poster now have them displayed in the Arena.

    NOTICE OF INTENTIONS- 2026

We are commencing our planning for 2026 classes and it is appreciated if you can notify the office ASAP if your family is NOT returning to Wondall in 2026 (current Prep-Year 5 students only). 3906 6444 or admin@wondallheightsss.eq.edu.au

Current Year 6 Students- please enrol ASAP to your local high school or destination high school so that the schools can prepare for you in 2026. Feedback from our feeder high schools is that some students have not yet made contact. Please do so ASAP. We will be having transition meetings and handover meetings later in the term.

SAVE THE DATE - YEAR 6 GRADUATION

    YEAR_6_GRADUATION.png

Due to seating capacity in our hall, we request each student have a maximum of 4 guests attend this ceremony. We thank you for your support with this.

Students are to wear formal Wondall uniform for this event and may bring sports uniform for the ‘Bounce’ excursion afterwards.

    MATHS MASTERMINDS

Thank you to Mr Flack and Mrs Cocciolone for helping to train and attend the Maths Masterminds event last week at Tingalpa State School. One of our Wondall teams came 4th out of the cluster (which we are so proud of!) The questions were not the easiest to solve at all…. Many staff were scratching their heads trying to solve some of them.

    DAY FOR DANIEL

Day for Daniel is a National Day of Action hosted by the Daniel Morcombe Foundation (DMF) to raise awareness of child safety, protection and harm prevention. Held on the last Friday of October each year, it is about educating children and adults about keeping kids safe through child safety and protection initiatives. 'Wear Red and Educate' is the theme for the day.

The objectives of Day for Daniel are:

    • to educate children regarding their personal safety and empower them to 'Recognise, React and Report' when they feel something is not right.
    • to raise awareness about child safety and protection, and to promote a safer community for children.
    • to educate and equip individuals and communities with knowledge and skills to understand child safety and protection requirements and empower them to take action.
    • to honour the memory of Daniel Morcombe.

Wondall will be recognising Day for Daniel on Friday 31 October and will be inviting students and staff to wear a red shirt (hair accessories also ok) on this day. We will also be hosting a Day for Daniel Walk. Please see details in the poster, attached.
