YEARS 3-6 RUNNING CARNIVAL AND ATHLETICS AGE CHAMPIONS
On Friday afternoon at the end of Week 3 students in Years 3 – 6 competed in running events. Students in 400m (Yr 3) and 800m (Yrs 4-6) received ribbons for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for those races on the day. Around these events were multiple races of 80m (Yr 3) and 100m (Yrs 4-6). From these races times were compared to determine 1st, 2nd and 3rd on time. These ribbons were given to students who placed in these events this week. Results from the running events, combined with the field events completed in Term 3 Athletics units allowed for 2020 Champions to be determined. Congratulations to:
Champions will receive their medals and Runners Up ribbons as part of internal assembly Monday Week 6.

YEARS P-2 JUMPS/RUNS CARNIVAL
Unfortunately, on our first attempt on Thursday Week 3 we had a downpour which left our track waterlogged. We will re-attempt on Thursday Week 7. Students can wear their house uniforms on this day. There is no parent attendance at this carnival.
YEARS 4-6 INTRASCHOOL SPORT
On Friday Week 4 we recommenced Intra-school Sport in afternoons for Years 4 – 6. Students practise drills and skills for two weeks then commence fixtures against one another finishing with finals in Week 7. No boots are to be worn. There is no parent attendance. Students can wear normal sports or house uniform attire.
YEARS 3-6 SWIMMING CARNIVAL
On Thursday Week 9 Years 3-6 will compete in our school swimming carnival. Year 3 and Year 4 (9 years) will swim 25m Age Champion and Non-Age Champion events. Years 4-6 (10, 11, 12 year olds) will swim 50m for Age Champion events and 25m for Non-Age Champion events. Students will swim qualifying times in the final swim sessions in class this term. Once finalised Mr. Bloxsom will place names of students in Age Champion races on an A-Frame in the Arena for students to see during morning procedure prior to the carnival. There is no parent attendance at this carnival as there will be no space with the extra grade.

In order to make the most of swim time please support your child in their independence in getting dressed. Please be advised that spare gear is not always available and should your child forget an item it may mean they miss their swim.
