From Mel Loban Head of Curriculum
Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting
Wondall Heights State School is implementing the Australian Curriculum across all year levels. As a school we have had discussions about the amount of assessments we are carrying out. In 2021, we are reviewing our assessments tasks to ensure alignment to the Australian Curriculum achievement standards.
Below is an outline of our endorsed reporting plan presented to the P & C meeting on 9th February 2021. The major difference with our reporting plan this year is the absence of formalise summative assessments for our Prep students in the Arts and Technologies learning areas. Teachers will provide teaching and learning opportunities in these learning areas but students will not be formally assessed or reported on.
NAPLAN Online 2021
Wondall Heights State School is completing NAPLAN Online again this year. Students will participate in a NAPLAN School Readiness Test (SRT) on Thursday 25th March 2021 prior to the actual NAPLAN tests in May. The SRT is a familiarisation activity to help confirm each school’s technical, student and staff readiness. The SRT provides our students with the opportunity to engage in the NAPLAN platform prior to the actual NAPLAN tests in May. If you do not wish your child to participate in the SRT or NAPLAN in May please contact the office.
