School Leadership Update

Please be advised of some upcoming changes within the Leadership Team for Weeks 6-10 of this term and Weeks 1-2 of Term 3.

Mrs Pam Kondys (Year 3-6 DP) will be acting Deputy Principal at Mansfield State School with Mrs Mel Loban the acting Deputy Principal here for Years 3-6. Mrs Loban email address if required is mpeac9@eq.edu.au 

We also welcome Ms Petra Von Richter from Manly West SS who will be our Acting Head of Department- Curriculum, behind Mrs Loban.

 Prep 2021 Information Session 1

Everyone is invited to attend the information session for 2022 Prep on Tuesday 8 June 5:30pm-6:30pm in the Performing Arts Hall, whether in catchment or out-of-catchment. Enrolment forms will not be handed out at this session, they will need to be collected from the office during school opening hours to check for enrolment requirements

Semester One Reports

Each semester the school provides families with a written report on your child’s academic, behaviour and effort progress. These reports will compliment the information you would have received at the recent parent teacher interviews and identify areas of success for your child and also future goals. The reports are sent electronically, so please ensure that you have provided the office with the most up to date email address so they reach you. Reports are scheduled to be emailed on 23 June 2021.

It is important to note that a ‘C’ grade on a report is a good thing! A ‘C’ means that your child is working at the appropriate standard for their year level.

Under 8’s Day

We are holding our Under Eights Celebration on 24 June for our Prep-Year 2 students. More information will be released in weeks to come, and activities updated, closer to the event.

If parents hold any special skills or can offer an activity for the celebration, please contact P-2 Deputy Principal, Sarah Abbot on sabbo6@eq.edu.au . Alternatively, we are looking for donations of the following items: ribbons, scraps of material, craft materials, paper bags, new & unused bottles of shaving cream. These items can be left at the office, with thanks!
