Over the last fortnight our Wondall learners have been focusing on being RESPECTFUL by responding to adult instructions at school immediately. They have learned how being respectful and following instructions optimises their learning and creates a positive school environment. Dougie Stamp charts have rapidly been getting filled as our learners have been demonstrating the skill of respect.

Our next fortnights focus will be: Wondall Learners are responsible for their own learning. This focus aims to arm students with tools and strategies when faced with a challenging task in the classroom. Students will be explicitly taught useful skills which they can put into practise during the upcoming assessment period.

Next Monday, 24.5, is our first Dougie Celebration. Students who have achieved 50 Dougie stamps over the last 5 weeks will be invited to attend the exciting celebration. The activity is a surprise so many of our learners are awaiting the day with great anticipation! Please check in with your child to find out how they are tracking towards achieving their invitation.  If your child does not quite qualify for this celebration session, your child's class teacher will be in touch to inform you. Non-attendees will be supervised in a classroom and will participate in a programme of instruction. This is by no means a punishment, and they will have the opportunity to attend the next celebration day, by continuing to earn stamps on their current stamp charts.

We can't wait to celebrate the huge effort that the Wondall Learners have been making over the term so far!
