Positive Behaviour for Learning
PBL Focus Weeks 1 and 2 – Resilience
Our PBL focus for Weeks 1 and 2 is, ‘Wondall Learners are Resilient when they bounce back from challenges.’ Resilience is the ability to bounce back after a fall. Being a resilient person means to rebound, to come back to a positive position and recover your strength. Resilience means that you spring back and don’t let unhappy experiences keep you down. Challenges are part of life.
Some discussion points that will be covered during the fortnight are:
- Challenges and setbacks happen to us all. What can we do when we are faced with challenges or setbacks?
- Have you been really upset or angry because you were not successful or as good as you thought you would be? Students explained the challenge and reactions.
- Positive self-talk strategies when faced with challenges.
At Wondall we reinforce that challenges are part of life and they help us to learn and grow.
