Positive Behaviour for Learning
PBL Focus Weeks 7 and 8 – "Wondall Learners are respectful when they follow instructions"
Our focus for the next two weeks is, ’Wondall Learners are respectful when they follow instructions’. The objective of this focus is for students to understand showing respect is important for a positive and productive classroom and playground environment.
In class, students will discuss:
- Why should we be respectful by following instructions?
- Why do we need to follow instructions the first time?
- How can we respond to instructions politely?
- Why should we respect others' right to learn?
Students will explore that being respectful means showing kindness and consideration to others, including our teachers and classmates. By following instructions, we create a school environment where everyone can grow and succeed. Respecting others' right to learn ensures that everyone feels safe, valued, and able to focus on their studies. There are three ways we can show respect by following instructions:
- Follow the instruction first time
- Respond politely to staff and peers
- Respect others’ right to learn
Parents - The school is observing Prime coming onto the school grounds over the last week. Please remind your children that Prime is not appropriate for consumption while on school grounds. Please discourage your children from bringing the bottles filled with water.
