Positive Behaviour for Learning
PBL- Week 3 and 4 PBL focus; Wondall learners respect others’ learning
Our focus for the next two weeks is, ’Wondall Learners respect others’ learning’. The objective of this focus is to maximise learning time by fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and focused. In classrooms we will explore the reasons why respecting others' learning is key to success. We will delve into effective strategies for managing behaviours that might hinder the learning experience, ensuring a classroom where every student can thrive. Students will have the opportunity to review and discuss a variety of calming strategies, such as utilizing the Calming Space, engaging with the ZOR Tool-box, incorporating Fidget Tools, Time-Out Pass, and encouraging students to Ask for help. This approach ensures that students, when not in the green zone, are equipped with a range of choices that promote personal calmness without disrupting their peers' learning.
