Head of Curriculum
Excursions and Incursions
This term we have excursions and incursions happening for most year levels. We have been transitioning to QParents as our main point of contact for consent, so we are no longer sending bulk paper copies of consent forms home for activities with a low or medium risk level. Please note, that the online consent form in QParents closes on the same date that invoices are due.
When a new consent form is generated, QParent account owners will receive a notification via email from QParents advising that it is available. Reminders will also be sent leading up to the end date for those forms not yet completed.
QParents
Have you had trouble signing up to QParents?
Initial registration needs to be completed using a PC. Once your account has been approved QParents can be accessed with a mobile device.
We are here to help to get you registered if you are still having trouble. Bring your 100 points of ID verification into the school office and we’ll help you out.
If you have already registered, but didn’t have your 100 points of ID verification, you can bring a range of documents to be sighted at the office to complete the process. Contact the office to find out what documents you could present to make up your 100 points.
Synthetic Phonics as Wondall
We are very excited to announce that all of our full-time permanent Classroom Teachers and Inclusion Teachers have attended their four days of Sounds-Write Professional Development and are now implementing the Sounds-Write approach across our school! This initiative has been supported by a significant investment by the school. Not only into the capacity building of our teachers, but also in resourcing with decodable readers.
We also thank our wonderful P & C who made a generous donation in Semester 2 last year to support our resourcing of decodable readers for our home reading program. Our Preps will be the first group to begin using these as part of their home reading activities this term!
