    FROG-TASTIC LEARNING

This week, it was wonderful for Mr Wright and Mrs Abbot to visit 1D and see the amazing information reports which the students have been producing about frogs. During our visit we were able to have all students share their reports with us. Not only were they informative, but the fluency in the students' reading was also remarkable!

    QPARENTS

A big thank you to the families who have already signed up to QParents, we almost have all families signed up. If you need any assistance with this, please contact the office and we can help you. This will be the main consent platform used by the school moving forward.

Later in the year, enhancements to the app will mean that consent must be received for invoices to be generated. This means that payment deadlines/return of consent will be followed. More information to come on this.

ThinkuKnow- WEEK 6 POLICE PRESENTATION FOR UPPER SCHOOL

Our Years 4-6 students participated in a presentation about being safe online and using phones. Meg, our local school based police officer presented to the students. It was extremely valuable and the students were very engaged. Some key points that were shared:

*Keep computers/devices in a communal area within the house to help parents monitor usage.

*Limit who your child is talking to online (social media is not recommended for children under 13 years old).

*While at school we have a gate to gate policy relating to mobile phones/ smart devices- sign your device into the office during the morning and pick up from the office of an afternoon. We are asking students to not use that phone/device until they are outside of the school gate.
